On the Ueno crawl and the wagyu evening, the most repeated advice is about appetite. The dishes and drinks keep coming, and travellers who ate first wished they had not.
Find the exact exit first
A missed meeting point is the commonest problem. Shinjuku Station has many exits, and one car-meet review describes a street closed off at the start. Check the exit your booking names and arrive ten minutes early.
The car meet changes night to night
Travellers found plenty of cars even on a Monday, and expected more at the weekend. At the Daikoku Parking Area you walk round on your own, so ask your driver about the cars on the way.
Crowds on the pub crawl
The Friday and Saturday crawl can draw over a hundred people, and some found the bars packed and the music loud. Solo travellers liked it most: the hosts pair you up at the first bar.
