Every start point at a glance

Check your booking for the exact point first. Starts in the same district can still sit a ten-minute walk apart.

Shinjuku Station East Exit: the Lion statue and the police box

This is the busiest start on the map. The photography walk, the Shinjuku backstreets walk, the hidden-gems walk, the pachinko walk, the custom night out and the uni-students night all meet here. Come out of the East Exit of JR Shinjuku Station at ground level.

The Lion statue stands in Miraion Lion Square, just outside the exit. The police box is a few metres away. Your booking names one of the two, and your guide holds a sign with the operator's name. The photography walk leaves at 5:30pm and asks you to be there 10 minutes early.

Two more Shinjuku starts: Nishi-Shinjuku and Kabukicho

The one-hour Shinjuku photo shoot starts on the west side of the station, outside the Yodobashi Camera West Main Store. The free deck of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is in the same district, if you want the view first.

The Shinjuku and Shibuya photo tour names the McDonald's at Seibu-Shinjuku Station, in Kabukicho. Its instructions also mention Exit C3 of Shinjuku-sanchome. The operator confirms the spot by message, so read it before you set off. From Kabukicho, Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho are a short walk.

Shibuya: the kerbs round the crossing

Shibuya's starts sit within a few minutes of the station. The Shibuya rooftop walk meets at SHIBU HACHI BOX, next to the Hachiko statue. The Shibuya photo shoot meets under the Starbucks sign at QFRONT, on the corner of the crossing.

The shared car-meet drives use kerbs where a van can stop. One meets outside Nitori on Koen-dori, 10 minutes early. Another uses the Royal Host on Dogenzaka. A third meets outside Matsuya and My Curry in Sakuragaoka, four minutes on foot from the station. The go-karts leave from their own shop in Shibuya.

One car-meet drive meets in Harajuku instead, beside the "Harajuku Station Entrance" bus stop in Jingumae. The after-dark drive can collect you at Tower Records Shibuya or at your address.

Ueno, Roppongi, Shimbashi and Ginza

The tavern and ramen crawl meets in Ueno, outside the Starbucks at atré Ueno, beside the Hirokoji exit of Ueno Station. It ends elsewhere in Ueno, not at the start.

The pub crawl starts at Bar Propaganda, on the 2nd floor of 3-14-9 Roppongi. Arrive by 7:30pm for the 8pm welcome.

The wagyu dinner meets at 5pm at the North Exit of JR Shimbashi Station, by the black pillar near SAZA Coffee. It ends near Ginza and Yurakucho. The sumo show is in the basement of Ginza INZ 1, a minute from exit C9 of Ginza Station.

Etchujima Terminal for the dinner cruise

The yakatabune leaves from Etchujima Terminal, in Koto, on the water east of central Tokyo. The meeting point varies with the option you book, so check your confirmation. You cross Tokyo Bay to Odaiba and pass Rainbow Bridge on the way.

Hotel pickup, and the drive that starts outside Tokyo

The private driver-guided evenings and the Christmas-lights drive pick you up anywhere in Tokyo: a hotel, a station, a shop or your home. The car-meet drive with a sports-car seat picks up from your hotel or a set point in central Tokyo. One private drive collects in Tokyo or Yokohama, and the customizable drive also at Haneda Airport.

The factory-lights drive is the exception. It picks up only in Kawasaki, Haneda or Yokohama, south of Tokyo, and does not come into the city.
