What a night food tour of Tokyo is
It is dinner with a guide, and the dinner is in the fare. You meet at a station, walk or sail
to where the food is, and eat what your guide orders or what the table serves. Each one here is
a different meal.
In Ueno it is a crawl: a standing bar, a tavern, then ramen. In Ginza it is one long sitting
over A5 wagyu. On the bay it is beef sukiyaki on a houseboat's tatami floor, with the lit city
passing outside the windows.

finished.

- Diets: tell the wagyu operator about dietary needs a day ahead. It cannot
serve vegetarians, vegans or gluten-free diets.
- Children: no under-6s at the wagyu dinner, and no under-3s on the boat. The
drinking age is 20.
- Arrive: the wagyu dinner turns away anyone 15 minutes late, with no
refund.
- The boat: you board at Etchujima Terminal, where the meeting point depends on
the option you book; it is on our meeting-points map. Shoes come off, you sit over a sunken floor, and you
may share a table.
- Light: the wagyu dinner starts at 5:00pm, before sunset from 25 January to
19 October, and you come out into the dark.
- Cancel: each refunds in full up to 24 hours ahead.
Who should choose something else
- If you are vegetarian or vegan. The wagyu dinner excludes you, and the boat
serves beef sukiyaki. Ask the Ueno operator before you book.
- If you cannot sit on the floor. The boat seats you on tatami over a sunken
floor, and it does not take wheelchair users. The Ueno crawl is three hours on foot.
